The name GIA in Vietnamese has several meanings and can be described as Home (Nhà),  Family (Gia Đình) or Private Home (Tư Gia).  GIA restaurant was built with the concept as a private home for a large family and we also want to showcase the past Vietnamese architecture combined with the rich culture that we inherited in thousands of years.

The restaurant settings resemble an old villa in the early 19th century.  Its structure was made up of several antique homes.  Old wooden pillars, hand-made bricks as well as roof tiles were carefully removed from antique homes located in Hoi An(1) and Hue(2), thoroughly packed and transported to NhaTrang.  A team of skilled workers from the original locations carefully re-assembled all the pieces and construct the now called GIA Restaurant which expresses a home with graceful aesthetic of natural balance and harmony.

GIA restaurant has several seating sections.  Guests can sit in the outdoor garden settings or in its open air section but for those who must have the comfort of air conditioning, we offer private air-conditioned dining rooms which can accomodate from 8 to 80 guests.  Whatever the choice is, the entire decoration reflects an example of the well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture and its culture.

We believe that if a restaurant serves the food of a culture, it must serves the food in an appropriate and culturally respectful context, therefore, our building and the artifacts must be of quality to reflect the beauty and sensuality that is fundamental to the Vietnamese culture.

GIA restaurant is located within the walking distance (200m) from the famous white sand beach of Nha Trang off Tran Phu Street.

Nha Trang Bay was voted by World Heritage as one of the world's most beautiful bays.
